Paul reminds the Corinthians that the gospel rests on verifiable, historical events—the death, burial, resurrection, appearances, and ascension of Jesus. Remove the resurrection and the good news collapses; accept it and every promise of God stands firm. God prepared the world for this event through prophecy, types, miracles, and Christ’s own predictions, then confirmed it by “many infallible proofs.”
