Lesson Overview:  

Because God is perfectly holy, sin severs humanity from His fellowship. John presents God as “light,” exposing both our need and God’s gracious provision for continual cleansing through Christ’s atoning work. Repentance, therefore, is not a one-time event but an ongoing response to the Spirit’s conviction, restoring us to joyful communion and enabling us to “walk as He walked.”
