Repentance is the Spirit-empowered turn from self-rule to God’s rule. It is both doorway and daily path, clearing the debris of sin so Christ’s kingdom can be built within. Isaiah describes a highway prepared for God’s glory; Jeremiah calls Judah to plough up fallow ground. In the New Testament, every major preacher—John, Jesus, the Twelve, Paul, Peter—begins with the same word: “Repent.” Genuine repentance produces the durable fruit of the Spirit.
